    Lawhead's Court

It all started in Lorain, Ohio, in a high school gym at center court, an LC painted in gray occupying the center circle with a scarlet background, it signified Lorain Catholic, a school that was known for basketball and known for it's basketball coach, my dad Jim Lawhead. He became the first coach in the school's history when it opened fall quarter 1969. As years passed and the wins continued to pile up for my dad it slowly came to be known that the LC painted in that circle was affectionately referred to as standing not for Lorain Catholic but rather Lawhead's Court.
