Jo Koy (The Koy Pond Podcast) and Heather McDonald (Juicy Scoop Podcast & Chelsea Lately) stop to watch Bert Kreischer make sushi on this episode of Something's Burning. Anyone else afraid of raw fish on this show?

Full Recipe:

Sushi Rice

  1. Combine in a bowl until sugar dissolves:
    1. 1 tbsp bakers sugar
    2. 1 tbsp rice wine vinegar
    3. 1 tbsp mirin
  2. Mixed into cooked rice

Make the Crispy Fried Green Beans (like french fries)

  1. Heat a bunch of oil in dutch oven for deep frying
  2. Make a breading station with one bowl of milk, one bowl of flour, and one bowl with one cup panko bread crumbs mixed with ½ tablespoon garlic powder
  3. Bread the green beans by rolling in flour, then milk, then panko mixture
  4. Fry until golden brown (3-4 minutes)
  5. Season with a lot of salt and furikake

Make Special Sauce for green beans and burgers

  1. Mix to taste: Kewpie mayo, sriracha, chopped pickled cucumber

Make the McKoyBert Sushi Burgers

  1. Make the spicy tuna and salmon “hamburger patties”
    1. Chop the tuna into very fine pieces and mix in wasabi paste and mayo. Form into 3 patties using the mold. Set aside.
    2. Chop the salmon into very fine pieces and form into 3 patties using the mold. Set aside.
  2. Make the Crispy Rice Buns
    1. Heat a few inches oil in cast iron skillet
    2. Mold the pre-made sushi rice (rice with salt, sugar, rice wine vinegar, and mirin) into discs using molds
    3. Fry the discs until golden brown and crispy
    4. Top with sesame seeds
  3. Assemble the burgers
    1. Add in a layer of avocado
