I created this podcast to showcase a more serious side, as I have conversations with some of the funniest and most interesting people in the world. I’ve learned the language of comedy in an attempt to survive this shoes-on world, so of course there will be some goofs and spoofs, but think of this podcast as you being a fly on the wall, as opposed to being an audience member in a theatre.

Julia Gargano never sang professionally, auditioned for this season's American Idol. Made it through Hollywood Week, Hawaii's live shows, and into the top 20. That's were it gets interesting -- all finalists are performing from home -- recording on 3 iPhones, live to tens-of-millions of people. Rick and Julia get into the American Idol process, from auditioning to producers, forgetting the name of her own song, gaining confidence, setting up a live studio in her bedroom, and yes... more cartoon penises.
