I created this podcast to showcase a more serious side, as I have conversations with some of the funniest and most interesting people in the world. I’ve learned the language of comedy in an attempt to survive this shoes-on world, so of course there will be some goofs and spoofs, but think of this podcast as you being a fly on the wall, as opposed to being an audience member in a theatre.

Another double guest balcony session with the incredibly talented and dynamic co-creators of "Search Party," Sarah-Violet Bliss & Charles Rogers. Rick invites them over to discuss how creating and running your own show compares to working on established projects, like the "Wet Hot American Summer" television series. They discuss their first official project together, "Fort Tilden," debuting at the SXSW film festival where is ALSO won that year's Grand Jury Award, then creating the critically acclaimed (then TBS) HBO Max series, "Search Party." They deep dive into all things creative process and career highlights as well as how they work seamlessly together. Weathering the outside elements of the balcony like consummate performers, they contend with wildfire ash, poop raining down, as well as some pretty great pyrotechnics. Lots of great advice and insight into being young writers, the path to success, and the culture of writing-rooms (aka boys club culture).
